Death

'Death looks like God' (November 1953)

'We have broken away from the dead (or from death) or rather we want to break away from all that has gone before, this is the crisis of the modern world. He who is about to die invokes memory, namely the vital force of continuity, precisely because dying does not exist.' (1973)

'One must always speak with the dead because they are the earth. It is not certain that one lives out the concept of death in a state of comprehension. (1977)
